Connect your lighting
With BEGA Connect, all it takes is a single component to bring your lighting system online. Our connectors act as the bridge between your local installation and the BEGA Connect Cloud — no technical expertise required.
Internet access is the only requirement: use your existing LAN/WLAN network, or opt for our Air Connector or Zhaga Air Connector with integrated narrowband IoT for even the most remote locations.
Even large-scale projects stay manageable with support for cloud clustering across multiple connectors — giving you full control, anytime and anywhere.

DALI Connector:
Seamless integration for on-site networks.
The DALI Connector is used for projects where internet access is available on site. It connects directly to the BEGA Connect Cloud via Ethernet or WLAN, allowing you to control and monitor up to 64 DALI operating devices, all in real time.
For larger installations, combine multiple DALI Connectors in the cloud to form one cohesive, centralized system. DALI-2 certified and fits seamlessly into any sub-distribution board.
Air Connector:
Wireless lighting control, anywhere.
The Air Connector delivers a reliable internet connection via narrowband IoT — perfect for locations where local network access isn’t feasible, such as underground sites or remote landscapes beyond standard mobile coverage.
With a single Air Connector, you can control up to 20 DALI operating devices — no additional infrastructure required. Even large-scale projects remain easy to manage: multiple Air Connectors can be linked in the BEGA Connect Cloud and controlled as one unified system.
No local networking. Just intelligent lighting, wherever you need it.
The Air Connector is available in multiple formats to suit your project:
Air Connector in single housing
Air Connector in housing for wall mounting
Air Connector in mast housing
Zhaga Air Connector:
Smart control at every pole.
Designed for compatible pole-top luminaires, the Zhaga Air Connector adds instant cloud connectivity — no local internet, no control cable required. Any luminaire with a Zhaga Book 18 base becomes a smart, networked device ready for intelligent automation.
Each Zhaga Air Connector acts as an independent endpoint in the BEGA Connect Cloud. Together, they form a unified system where every light follows shared automation rules — no matter how far apart they are.
You can also pair the connector with additional Zhaga-compliant sensors for extended functionality.
What is Narrowband‑IoT?
Narrowband‑IoT (NB‑IoT) is a low-power, wide-area wireless technology that connects devices in locations where traditional networks fall short — remote sites, underground spaces, and more. It works by transmitting small amounts of data over existing mobile infrastructure (3G, 4G, and 5G), eliminating the need for separate gateways or custom networks. This makes it ideal for lighting control systems like BEGA Connect, which rely on secure, low-maintenance connectivity in hard-to-reach places.
Key advantages:
No local network needed – Connects via built-in mobile infrastructure
Extremely energy- and cost-efficient – Designed for low data and long life
Secure by default – End-to-end encryption with direct access to the BEGA Cloud (hosted on German servers)
Minimal setup and upkeep – No complex rollouts or ongoing maintenance
With Narrowband‑IoT, intelligent lighting control is no longer limited by location. From cities to countryside — your system stays connected.
